Terms of Service

Version 1.0.4 · Effective 2026-08-30

Terms of Service — Age of Aincrad

Effective: 30.08.2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Age of Aincrad website (age-of-aincrad.com) and related services we operate, including the game client, game servers, and forum (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service is operated by Rockin' Round Robin, Poland ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected] or the contact form on the website.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of your relationship with us.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account.

3. Account creation and security

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication in your account settings.

You may register with email and password, or sign in with Discord or Google. Whichever method you choose, the same account governs both website and in-game access.

4. Licence to use the Service

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the game client and access the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms. All rights in the Service, the client, and their content that are not expressly granted remain with us or our licensors. This licence is not a sale — accounts, characters, virtual currency, and items are licensed, not owned.

5. Acceptable use

You will not:

  • Use the Service to break the law or harm others.
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone — including players, staff, and bots.
  • Cheat, exploit bugs, modify the client to gain an advantage, or use unauthorised third-party software.
  • Scrape the Service, reverse-engineer beyond what applicable law expressly permits despite this clause, or interfere with the Service's operation.
  • Distribute spam, malware, or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Buy, sell, trade, or transfer accounts, characters, virtual currency, or items for real money or anything of value outside the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Severe or repeated violations may result in immediate termination; section 9 explains what happens to purchases in that case.

6. User-submitted content

You retain ownership of content you submit (forum posts, chat messages, applications, support tickets, uploaded files, etc.). By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and use that content for the purpose of operating, moderating, and improving the Service. This licence ends when the content is deleted from the Service, except for copies in backups kept for a limited period and content other users have already lawfully shared or quoted.

You represent that you have the rights to submit such content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove or moderate content that violates these Terms or the law.

7. Alpha, Beta and early access — no promise of permanence

The Service is in active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time. Characters, currency, items, and other in-game progression may be wiped during beta or pre-release periods. Where a wipe is planned we will give reasonable notice on the website and/or Discord, but you should not treat in-game progress as permanent before official launch.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". This does not limit the statutory rights described in section 8.

8. Purchases, virtual goods, and refunds

Who you buy from. Purchases made through the Xsolla checkout are sold to you by Xsolla, acting as merchant of record, under Xsolla's own terms of sale presented at checkout. For those purchases, Xsolla is responsible for payment processing, VAT, invoicing, and handling your EU withdrawal and refund rights, and refund requests should be directed to Xsolla support in the first instance. We remain responsible for delivering the purchased content into your account and for its conformity in the game.

Purchases through the PayPal checkout are sold to you by us. Listed prices include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. The terms below on withdrawal and refunds apply to these purchases.

EU 14-day right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have 14 days from purchase to withdraw without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU). Where digital content is delivered immediately, and you have expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, that right does not apply (Art. 16(m)). Completing a digital purchase with us includes exactly that consent and acknowledgement.

Statutory conformity rights. If purchased digital content or the digital service does not conform to the contract, EU consumers have statutory remedies (bringing the content into conformity, price reduction, or termination) under Directive (EU) 2019/770 as implemented in Polish consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

Pricing transparency. Where a price reduction is announced, the strikethrough price displayed is the lowest price applied during the 30 days before the reduction (Art. 6a of Directive 98/6/EC as amended by the Omnibus Directive).

Refunds outside statutory rights. Beyond your statutory rights, we do not offer refunds for completed digital purchases. Where a payment was clearly made in error, or we are unable to deliver an item, contact us and we will work with you in good faith.

Gift codes. Gift codes may be redeemed only within the Service, are not redeemable for cash, and the redeemer will see the username of the purchasing account.

No real-money value. Virtual currency, items, and account access are licences to use the Service. They have no monetary value outside the Service and may not be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash on third-party platforms.

9. Account termination

By you. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing [email protected] from your account's email address or using the contact form. Deletion is permanent and removes characters, virtual currency, and access entitlements. Some records (transaction history and logs we are legally required to keep) are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms or where legally required. Where the breach is not severe, we will normally warn you first. Termination for your material breach does not entitle you to a refund of unused entitlements, except where your statutory rights provide otherwise. We may also delete accounts that have never been verified or have been inactive for at least 24 months, after giving notice to the account's email address — we will not delete inactive accounts holding paid entitlements without at least 3 months' notice.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 50. This limitation does not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and it does not limit the statutory rights of consumers.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the Service or applicable law changes, or for other valid reasons stated in the announcement. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the Service and request account deletion. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

If a dispute arises, contact us first — most issues can be resolved directly. Consumers in Poland may also seek free assistance from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or use out-of-court dispute resolution through the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). Consumers elsewhere in the EU may contact their national consumer protection or ADR bodies.

13. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect, and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its purpose. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms: [email protected] or the contact form on the website.
